Marina Kurjan
"Discover Your Fluency" course leader
Call me a weirdo, but I truly believe that learning English (especially in a group) is a woefully underestimated tool for self-exploration. After all, where else in the world would you discuss among a group of accomplished adults whether you’d rather become a unicorn or a centaur?
And while grammar, vocabulary, and all that jazz are essential to mastering English, I believe that any language is, first and foremost, a tool we use to express our thoughts and ideas. That's why my main goal as a teacher is to ensure that the classes are thought-provoking and engaging, and that my students are never afraid to speak up and make mistakes.
As an introvert who somehow found herself in one of the most extroverted fields of work, there are very few phrases I hate more than “You have to get out of your comfort zone.” So I made it my goal to turn my classes into a cozy, humor-filled comfort zone where people can thrive and hone their skills without feeling insecure or judged.
