It lasts 15 months, it has 60 classes. You can leave any month you wish though. We do not appreciate people joining in just for a month as this interferes with our sense of safety and community.
You will have 4 classes a month, each one is 2 hours long (120 mins). If it seems long to you now, trust me, you will change your mind right after the first class and crave more.
A lot. And it has to be done if you want to expand your vocabulary, improve your skills and be a responsible participant. You have to commit to it, otherwise there's not much point and others will be slowed down. As for the time that you need to spend on it, it solely depends on your level, pace of work, concentration and thoroughness. I'd say from 1 hour to 5 hours a week.
You have to warn us as soon as you know. You can still complete your homework plus all the class tasks, as well as writing an essay or recording a voice message with a further feedback. However, we will not refund you for this class, as you've occupied a place in this group.
These are group classes, so once again as you are occupying a place in a team, you won't be refunded. If you let us know in advance (before your classes begin) and it's a real emergency, we might try to find you a replacement and refund you a part of this sum.
Then you are a perfect candidate for us. That's exactly what we are aiming at: opening you up and boosting your confidence. You will more confident and relaxed in just a few classes. We create a safe, friendly, cozy atmosphere so that you feel supported, encouraged and free to speak out.
There are usually 6 people. However, you work in pairs or trios 90% of the time, being divided into Breakout Rooms with your teacher monitoring you, hopping between the rooms.
All the super relevant and riveting ones: from Healthy Eating to Artificial Intelligence, from Parenting to Mythology, from Addictions to Relationship. We will make sure you have something to say on almost all possible topics.
Zoom for classes themselves, Telegram for group chats and Edvibe for homework.
An article on the topic, a glossary with all the juicy vocabulary from the article, 3 exercises to practice these items, a video on the topic with questions to answer afterwards, a voice-over of the article, an essay/a voice recording upon completion of a class checked by your teacher.
We very briefly go through your homework tasks to check your pronunciation and understanding of the new material and answer any of your questions. Then we complete 3 exercises to revise and activate target vocabulary in pairs. Next, we proceed to speaking which is based on multiple activities and tasks. Everything is well-thought through. No time for silence.
