I've never viewed speaking English (and any other foreign language) fluently as being an end in itself. I believe that English is a means to reach your real goals. It's a powerful tool that you can use for multiple purposes, such as talking to people while traveling, doing your PhD abroad, or reading your favorite book in the original.

That said, I must admit that for me, learning and teaching English have always been an incredibly exhilarating process. It might sound a bit nerdy, but I get psyched every time I come across a cool expression or make a linguistic discovery.

My goal as a teacher is to help my students achieve their objectives while making their language journey as engaging as possible.
